YOUR GOWN 101: From start to finish

Creating your gown from scratch is quite a bit of fun! Since I draft my own patterns: you simply need a stack of pictures of "life in a perfect world"! You know, the top half of this one and the bottom half of that one. The more you can articulate the details of your dream dress, the more we can get done!

A Muslin, or cotton sample, is created of the bodice. So you get a practice run of the top half. This way we can draft out the neckline and depth of the bodice before the $60.00 and up per yard silks are cut!

I am a fabric snob. Silks are simply the only way to go. The seams press out perfectly and mold to the body like glue. I work the same importer as Vera Wang so my fabrics are the best. Laces are strictly French, Italian, or English--NO domestic products. Other embellishments include pearls and Swarovski crystals.
